Quality & Validation FAQ
Q: How do you ensure quality?
A: Four-stage validation: annual machine accuracy verification, red-lead contact check (coverage ≥80%), customer in-house trial feedback, and 30 days without new issues constituting acceptance. Each stage must pass before the next.
Q: What certifications do you have?
A: Howmin is implementing ISO 9001:2015, with certification expected in 2026. We have established a full controlled-document system and standard operating procedures.
Q: How do you ensure clean color boundaries on multi-shot molds?
A: The key is core alignment precision and shrinkage compensation across resins. We compensate each resin's shrinkage at the design stage, ensure core alignment via single-setup 5-axis machining, and repeatedly fit the mold on our die spotting press for flash-free, mismatch-free color boundaries.
Q: Is there a mold warranty?
A: Industry practice covers design and manufacturing defects, not normal wear or mishandling. Specific warranty shot count and duration are stated in writing at quotation.
Q: What precision can the mold achieve?
A: 5-axis machining offers 0.004 mm positioning accuracy and 0.002 mm repeatability. Achievable part tolerances depend on structure and material, confirmed at quotation.
