Q: How many colors can your multi-shot molds do?
A: From single-shot to four-shot (1K–4K). We are one of the few mold makers in Taiwan capable of stable four-shot (4K) automotive lamp molds; 2K/3K has been our core specialty for 30 years.
Q: What's the largest mold you can build?
A: Our 5-axis machining center offers travel up to 2,500 × 1,600 × 800 mm with a 25,000 kg table load, supporting large lamp and grille molds. Send part data for an exact assessment.
Q: What do 2K, 3K, 4K multi-shot molds mean?
A: They mold a single part in 2, 3, or 4 colors/materials within one mold and one cycle. For example, a tail lamp lens with red, clear, and amber zones is fused inside the mold in a single shot — no downstream assembly.
Q: Do you offer mold flow analysis?
A: Yes. Every mold passes flow analysis before steel is cut, verifying filling balance, weld line positions, and warpage; the report ships with the project. We also offer standalone mold flow analysis.
Q: Can you build optical surface (lens, light guide) molds?
A: Yes, this is our core. Optical polishing reaches mirror grade for lamp lenses, light guides, and reflectors. We also run transient discharge cold welding (TDC) to repair molds without damaging optical surfaces.
Q: Which processes are in-house vs. outsourced?
A: 5-axis CNC, deep-hole drilling, EDM, assembly, fitting, and mold repair are in-house; wire cutting, heat treatment, and polishing are specialist-outsourced. In-house machining keeps quality and lead time under control.
